Licensed to marry - Chris. SEIBER and Irene SUNDAY, Wm. S. FRENCH and Martha 
CLOUPETT.
 
Clem BOVIA of St. Louis, was rusticating last week at his brother-in-law's, 
J.R. GORDON, of nor Hillsboro.
 
Jackson RANT, who was sent to the lunatic asylum from this county, a few 
months since, died last week.
 
We learn from the Potosi INDEPENDENT that Mrs. F.A. BRICKEY is in a very 
critical condition, having had a stoke of paralysis.
 
Miss Emma DONNELL is home from the Caledonia school.  We are sorry to learn 
that her eyes have been so badly afflicted as to prevent her doing much 
studying at the last term.
 
HOUSE'S SPRINGS - Andrew WEBER and Miss Mary SCHAEFER were married.
 
WEDDING BELLS - A pleasant party assembled at the residence of Mrs. L.H. 
DRAKE, near Crystal City, on Thursday, June 12th, to attend the wedding of her 
daughter, Lida, to Robert M. DENHOLM of Crystal City. The attendants were Miss 
Ella M. DRAKE and Mr. M.P. ELLIOTT, Miss Lydia BRICKEY and Mr. W.W. SHEEHY, Miss 
Mamie CRAWFORD and S.H. BRICKEY.  The wedding ceremony was performed by Elder 
James H. SMART, of St. Louis, at 8:30p.m. The young couple received the 
congratulations of their friends and then lead the way to the dining room,  where a 
sumptuous supper was served.  The bride was tastefully attired in 
embroideried nainsook, with long flowing veil of tull, with wreath of white clover 
blossoms, and bride's maid's in corresponding style.
      The happy couple were the recipients of many valuable and useful 
presents, among them we noticed a handsome walnut hat rack and stand with mirror, 
from George F. NEALE, manager Crystal Plate Glass Co.; magnificent silver cake 
basket with bouquet of flowers in hammered gold and silver in center, Maj. D.W. 
BRYANT, Waterloo, Ill., elegant parlor lamp artistically decorated, Dr. T.B. 
TAYLOR of Crystal City; handsome silver dinner castor, Judge R.G. MADISON; 
ornate silver butter dish, S. H BRICKEY of Ivy, Ill.; beautiful bevelled plate 
glass mirror in crimson silk plush frame, decorated with water lilies - the 
artistic work of the fair donor - Mr. and Mrs. Louis PHILLIPPI, Crystal City; pair 
of individual silver castors, cut glass bottles, salt cellars lined with 
gold, F.W. BRICKEY and Miss Lydia BRICKEY of Cliff; French mantle clock, ebony and 
gold, Mr. and Mrs. S.W. CRAWFORD of De Soto; set of household linen, Mrs. 
L.H. DRAKE; silver card receiver and cut glass base, Miss Ella DRAKE; table 
linen, Mrs. D. BUTLER; engraved set of solid silver teaspoons in crushed strawberry 
plush case, M.P. PILIOTT(?); silver ice pitcher, Miss Mamie CRAWFORD; silver 
syrup pitcher, T.C. BRICKEY of Cliff; decorated china tea set, R.C. MOORE and 
lady; silver napkin rings, beautifully engraved with names of bride and groom, 
W.W. SHEEHY; toilet set, Miss Annie CRAWFORD; album in plush binding, Miss 
Annie BUTLER; silver syrup pitcher, W.H. WAGGENER; fancy table lamp, Miss Mary 
McCORMACK; ornamental engraved napkin rings, Miss May JAMES of Harrisonville, 
Ill.; decorated wash stand china, Lawrence McCORMACK; fancy stand lamp, Fred

      The attendance was quite large, over forty being present, among whom we

and niece, Mamie and Annie CRAWFORD, Lydia BRICKEY, Ella M. DRAKE, Annie

BRYANT, Dr. TAYLOR, M.P. ELLIOTT, F.W. BRICKEY, G.H. BREAZEAU, S.H. BRICKEY,
