Hi, Rooters!  There are some really good websites on Nicknames if you
will just use a  Search Engine and plug in the word(s) like
 Nicknames/Nicknames of Olden  Days - some such as that.
Some nicknames are so very different than
given names:  how about Skeeter, Juice, and don't forget Bud and Spud -
same for Chip,  just for examples.
