Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: COMMON-LAW MATES/CHILDREN

I am wondering about the illegitimate marking on the birth certificate. My
dad was born in 1925 in Wayne County, NY and there is a question on it about
illegitimacy , but my mother who was born in 1927 in Queens, NY does not
have such a question on it. I wonder if birth certificates differ much from
county to county, in the same state, or if NY started to leave off the
illegitimate question at that time?
Happy Hunting,
Liz Parmalee
