Coffin plates often have the birth and death date for a person. I've also been looking in the census records for info on the people named on the coffin plates, and when I find it I add it to my website. I've also been adding more funeral cards online and have over 419 funeral cards at http://ancestorsatrest.com/ and at http://ancestorsatrest.blogspot.com/ Thanks to all who have submitted coffin plates and funeral cards - I'm always looking for more. If you want to add a funeral card or coffin plate online, send a scan of the card or plate, or type the info out if you can't scan it, and send to me at ancestorsatrest@netscape.net Just let me know if you want your name and email address added online as the contributor (so that people can contact you if they share that ancestor) Hope this helps and feel free to pass this post on to other lists if you think it's appropriate.
