When I was at school in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, my maths teacher was
called GAUGE. He was Welsh, from the Wrexham area, - or at least he
supported Wrexham football club, and you wouldn't want to do that by choice.
Maybe you should explore spelling variations.
