Subject: [ROOTS-L] 1910 Federal Census - Question
Sender: roots-in@roots-l.rootsweb.com

The 1910 census lists the number of children a woman had had,
including all marriages, I presume, as well as the number still
living in 1910.

Question: Would this number mean adopted children also? I don't see
there's a column to indicate whether a child was adopted, although I
have seen some census records (I think they were other census years,
not necesarrily 1910) indicating relationship of a child whether they
were "son", "daughter", and often "adopted".
