I am looking for James Edwards who married Emma E. Futch in Lafayette County, FL on 25 October 1867. I have searched all variations of census entries of 1870, 1880 or 1900 census in FL and cannot find Emma or James. I found Emma in 1910 living in Manatee County, FL but she was a widow living with her daughter and son in law. I have no idea how old James is but I suspect he was born in FL since Emma's children state their father was born in FL. They had one known daughter named Marietta who married Joseph C. Walker and this is the family with whom Emma is living in Manatee County in 1910. Emma died in 1934 and I found her obituary but there is no mention of husband. FL does not have death records until about 1915 except a rare few who filed since 1877. I cannot find his name in the FL death index. Just hoping there is someone who might get a hit where I get nothing. Thanks Alvie L.
