Subject: [ROOTS-L] Port of entry

My grandmother immigrated from Liverpool in 1907. I have tried to locate her at Ellis Island without success. I am now being told that either the records were lost or she may have come into the port of Boston.
Can anyone tell me where to search for records from Boston? Thanks for your assistance.
