Subject: [ROOTS-L] BEST METHOD OF POSTING FAMILY DATA?

I am President of GENCOM, The Computer Genealogy Group... I just received
a message from one of our members with the following questions regarding
posting family data.
I remember the subject being addressed recently on ROots-L . If someone
could give me a recap (or directions for finding the previous conclusions) I
would like to present the subject at our meeting this Sunday the 25. I
feel all of our members would be most interested in your responses.
Thanks so much.. Patricia Minton Bettis

QUESTIONS:
"I have been thinking about putting my genealogy on the Internet.
IThere are several places, on the Internet, that are available to put it.
Which is the best? How do you decide?
How much control of it do you have after you post it? What
responsibilities?
Do you select the format or do they?
Do you put every person in your data base? If not, how do you select?
Are there any negative things about having it posted on the Internet?
Do you include living people? Have you had any family objections?
How much information about each person do you post? Do you include notes or
other information?
Do you get a lot of email as a result? Is it helpful?
There are probably other questions that I do not even know to ask. Any help
appreciated."
