It really depends on what type of glue was used. Using a hair dryer may 
not yield the desired results and could cause further 
complications...again this depends on the glue used.

If the photos are only glued around the edges and corners, you may be 
able to pull these edges up enough to slip a straight edge razor blade 
under and very very carefully separate the photo from the paper. The 
photos will have pieces of glue and the paper stuck to the back of it, 
but hopefully the names will be visible. At this point, I would advise 
having these pictures scanned and printed onto modern photo print paper.

If the photos are glued completely to the pages, you may want to enlist 
the services of a professional conservator or you could ask at the local 
museum if they have anyone who is knowledgeable in this area of expertise.
