Subject: [ROOTS-L] Men serving in two world wars.

In a message dated 6/9/2006 1:27:36 P.M. Eastern Standard Time,
ROOTS-L-request@rootsweb.com writes:

You say your cuzzie was drafted in WW1, but that he enlisted in WW2. As bad

as men were needed, I am sure he was not turned down if he enlisted and if
he
was able to serve.

Thanks, Joyce. I was thinking in a box and thought only of fighting men,
not the support the younger men would need to make them fighting men.
So yes, any able bodied man, I suppose, could have enlisted if he had a
particular skill that was needed.
Since then, I've found others born in the 1890's who enlisted in 1942.

Shirley
