Subject: [ROOTS-L] Puffer/Whitney

Alice,
Do you have her first name? There were quite a few Whitney families around
Roxbury during that time frame and you might be able to narrow it down with a
first name.

Also - have you checked the Whitney Research Group website? The old one is
at _www.whitneygen.org_ (http://www.whitneygen.org) We just changed to a
different format and have a new website with all the info from the old one
being transferred over. I do not know the URL off the top of my head, but the
old one has a link to the new one at the top of the main page.

Is Benjamin related to Abigail Puffer and Eunice Puffer who both married
Whitney men? That may give you a clue as it seems that the Whitneys married
siblings and cousins in other families until the twists and turns make you
crazy.

I am of the Whitney line (in case you couldn't tell) and do not have the
Puffer line but I do have those 2 wives.

locate parents of Benjamin Puffer's wife. She was a Whitney annd was born
about 1753(?) near Roxbury, MA. Any information will be appreciated.
