    Godfrey is the site of the Godfrey library of Middletown, Connecticut.
You can check it out at www.Godfrey.org -- It is a good source for a variety 
of  "almost free" genealogical resources.  Membership is $35 per year.  As 
most everyone knows by this time they were dropped from Heritage Quest so no 
longer offer the books, census or newspapers from HQ.  But the HQ books and 
census may be obtained for at home use through many local public libraries.

    I subscribe to both Ancestry and Godfrey.  Ancestry is easier to use and 
has a better overall search engine.  But one can surely get lots of material 
on Godfrey for so little expense.
