ANSWER TO BELOW:
 
Barbara,
I found a few that were close but found a Thomas H. Booker born right time  
and state in the 1850 Census - will send you that image privately - they were 
in  Missouri in that census. 
 
The only difference was both parents were born North Carolina. Very large  
family so if the territory they were in or the names jibe with family names  
maybe this is the one.
