Joan,

Glad you asked.

My error, close but no cigar, it wasn't the SSDI, although that is what I
wrote, sorry. It was the WWI and WWII draft registrations, the 1920 and the
1930 census and the NYC births. It may not have been SSDI, but it
certainly shows five Ancestry errors. Why put in a Year Range if it is going
to be ignored and provide records way beyond the date?

However, despite the errors I am still a devoted fan of Ancestry.com!

Joanie

That has happened to me, person deceased in 1913 but that name showed up in
SSDI anyway. Yes, the death date year was entered correctly, right from the
tombstone.

Go figure.

Joanie-

Can you give us the name and dates so we can verify that it is, indeed,
found in the SSDI? I do realize there are errors in the SSDI but this seems
a bit extreme to me and even though I'm not from Missouri--you gotta show
me.

Thanks!

Joan
