His father was Benetto Pirani (a merchant, possibly of Florence, Italy (but no proof of place yet), and his mother was Reyna Abecassis (probably born in Gibraltar and of Spanish origins). Henry married Louisa Levy (b. London ca 1835) in Melbourne, Australia, in 1856. I come through their daughter Rebecca Lucie Pirani or Lucie Rita Pirani, as her name became. The families were originally of the Jewish faith, as evidenced in vital records. I would like to correspond with anyone interested in these families, which I have been researching for some time.
