Subject: [ROOTS-L] Cornwall/Cornwell of Pulaski Co., GA

I know this could be a stretch but if Daniel appears to have died about 1836
and he was a possible political figure in GA he could have gone off with a
militia unit and died in one of the Indian actions of that time frame.
You might try searching for a bounty land warrant issued to his widow for
service performed by Daniel.
I know GA did not have any bounty land for federal service but she could
have applied and took off to one of the western states such as Arkansas and
applied for some land for her family to farm.
The bounty land warrants are on file in the National Archives in Washington,
DC so you would have to get someone to search the indexes.
