Subject: [ROOTS-L] RE: Pictures of Immigrant Ships - 2nd REPLY

Leslie,
I went back and looked at the Brig Talisman picture again. It's probably the
one you want, if not it's a huge coincidence.

Sorry, she was built in 1822.....not 1831 but that's not the reason. The
painting of the ship was done in 1831.

At the bottom of the page it mentions returning to the Medford Ship site so
I went there. Nice map and pictures of owners, etc. Study the map.

The interesting part is, if you look up the name Medford in Massachusetts on
the GNIS site you will find it linked with Boston (mostly Boston North) in
Middlesex County.

So, you have pictures of the Ship, owners, map where they were located and
probably some other information.

Now to get more information all you need to do is go to Google and request
"Brig Talisman" and see what else comes up. Oh, and don't forget to ask for
"Medford Shipbuilders"

Enjoy, Gretchen
