Subject: [ROOTS-L] RE: Complaints on Ancestry

ANSWER TO BELOW:

Kathie,
Just so you are aware. I have been in contact with Ancestry 3 times myself
over this matter.

They give no satisfaction, nor even say they will pass along our complaints.
"Canned Answer" is.......we're doing this to improve our site so that we can
assist everyone better. Sounds like they've all been working for the
Government.

I have also been in contact with some other people that I know have Ancestry
and they have also voiced their complaints and received the same treatment.

Up to now I have always stood up for Ancestry but if this does not improve I
will probably not renew my membership......which I've had for over 5 years.

My Family Tree is nowhere to be found on Ancestry since this happened. I
checked and it's still can be accessed at World Connect thru RootsWeb. My
cousin's Family Tree is there in Ancestry BUT I know that due to several reasons
she had taken her file off the net.

She reinstalled it about 3 months ago......the one Ancestry has is dated
October 2004 so go figure that one out.

Sorry if we are all spouting off but maybe ROOTS will get tired and pass our
complaints along to their owners at Ancestry.
Gretchen

Subject: [ROOTS-L] Complaints on Ancestry

Since we NON-Ancestry subscribers really can't help you Ancestry
users, may I suggest that you contact the company directly with your
complaints about new upgraded features. None of us can make changes.
Paying users on the other hand have a right to complain but please
take it to the SOURCE.
