TX 1906 - RHEA Hello wondeful listers,,,first I want to thank all of you wonderful listers on this list.....Here is data I know on my gr gr grandfather: He was born in Blount Co., TN in 1847 to an Elizabeth Rhea/Ray in Loisville, Blount Co., TN. I have found him on the 1850 census for Blount Co, TN, but believe he is listed as Henry Tolbert/Talbert French. I also find a James H. HENRY b. ca 1836...thinking that is his half brother, a Wylie French b. 1844. Can someone help me? Or tell my what I should be doing. I also found a marriage license for a Thomas French and a Elizabeth RHEA in 1840, Louisville, Blount Co., TN. My gr gr grandfather aka Judge Tobe Rhea, died in Titus County TEXAS in 1905. I cannot find my gr gr grandparents....who are the parents of this H. T. Tobe Rhea? He was for sure in Titus County TX in the 1870 US census. Could or would he have changed his name from French to Rhea? Any help, suggestions, or just anything will be greatly appreciated. BTW, he was an elected official in the late 1800's. Once for County Judge and then the 25th State Legislature, he was a State Rep before he died. I tried to State Archives...but I was wondering if they would have a bio or history somewhere than I have overlooked. Thanks for taking the time to read this.....and I hope it is posted correctly.
