Helen,  Cemetery records are kept by those who run the cemetery. Some local 
historical and genealogical societies do "transcriptions" of the cemetery 
information and make it available quite often in book form. Check to see if 
their is a website for a local historical society in the area where the 
cemetery is located. If it is a military or catholic cemetery, the 
information may already be available on line. Maybe the links below will 
help. :)
