The individual NEGenWeb Project county sites have obituaries that have been submitted and I have the Nebraska Obituary Abstracts online for current obituaries but none before 2001. http://www.rootsweb.com/~negenweb/ The best place for a card index is at the Nebraska State Historical Society where you can request a search, fees paid in advance by regular mail. See their web site for details. The Society has more than 35,000 rolls of Nebraska newspapers on microfilm dating from the territorial period to the present.
