Subject: [ROOTS-L] Subject used in post not used on list

I noticed when my query was posted, the subject line, "Alabama children's Homes" was replaced with " Subject: Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #304". Don't know how this happens but could solve the mystery as to how so many are coming to you incorrectly. The title of this post is: "Subject used in post not used on list".

Realizing the importance of the subject line, it is mere stupidity to use the receiver's name in this area rather than the topic being queried.
