Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #304

Just occurred to me that grandfather, Josh Harrison and siblings, may have
been in a children's home causing them not to be shown on census records
living as family--only after marriages. It's odd that during this era, he
had only two siblings.

How do I find those homes opened during, say, 1850 and, once found, locating
their inmate listings?

I've searched Cindi's List and Alabama.
Am aware of Evergreen.

Thanking you in advance.
Barbara A. Harrison-Hurst
