Subject: [ROOTS-L] Schiller of Sandusky, OH

Good morning Sharry,
I have done a bit of digging and researching in the net and available
records on this family. It was fairly easy to find that this family has
apparently died off completely.
Leo George Schiller is the son of John H. Schiller, a realtor in Sandusky
and Akron, OH. John H. and wife Elizabeth appears to have parented three
sons, Leo G., Lawton G., and Otis. Leo married Ruth Madison in Windsor,
Ontario, Canada on 13 Nov 1914. This couple was still living in OH on the
1930 census with no children. This actual marriage certificate is on
Ancestry and it gives a vast amount of information about Leo and his bride.
Lawton and his wife Hazel appears to have parented one child named John
Schiller, born about 1919. This John Schiller died in 12 May 1980 in
Summit, OH. I am unable to get his obituary to see if he had children.
Hazel Schiller, wife of Lawton, died in Marion, OH on 25 Sep 1970.
If John Schiller, nephew of Leo George Schiller, had children, I feel sure
they would love to have this family item but otherwise I would contact the
public library in Akron, OH to see if there is a local history repository
which would receive this document.
Someone who lives in the vicinity of Summit, OH might look up the obituary
of John Schiller who died 12 May 1980.
It is truly sad that a family fails as far as descendents and has no one to
leave their life's treasurers to.
