Subject: Civil War Pension Index! What next?

Hello all,

I'm just a beginner but I've been reading a lot and trying hard to catch
up and I think I've just hit a genealogy mother lode! The trouble is I
don't know what to do with it.

I found a Civil War Pension Index for a serious road-block on my
genealogy quest.

It has his name John Golden.
His wife's name Ellen Golden
Next to a title I can't read it says: B 60 Mass. Inf.

Then it has the Date of filling, class, application no., certificate
no., and State From ? Filed for both John and then Ellen.

There must be something I can do with all those wonderful numbers and
dates. What do I do next?

Thank you
I am so happy:)
Peggy Wilson
