Subject: [ROOTS-L] Ancestry doesn't make the trees

One World Tree is USER submitted. It's like a forum or
post on any other site. Ancestry doesn't make the
trees, users do.

If there is information on One World Tree that you know
came from your personal sources, then you should
check with the people with whom you have shared this
data. Check with the ones who have an Ancestry.com
subscription. Either one of those people put it on there,
or they have found the same information that you have
found.

If you look at the tree, you will find a place on the page
to click to find others interested in the same family.
The name(s) of the contributors are not available, but
could be one of the interested people on the list. You
can email those people through Ancestry. Maybe you
will find the person who submitted the information that
way.

Ancestry is very open about this, and those trees are
not to be considered proof, just leads from other
researchers who make the trees - not Ancestry. It's
just different way of posting or a different forum style.
