All family files are submitted by individuals.

You have almost certainly fallen victim to another
researcher who you have shared information with -- and that
researcher has submitted your files (probably combined with
theirs)

When I was new to the Internet (1996) and naïve about how
it worked, I fell victim to the same type of researcher. I
shared my genealogy notes freely and fully with anyone who
asked. I was horrified to find my notes and personal
details published on various websites - and I quickly
learned to not share these details and to not share
information after my great grandparents. It is best to
follow the strategy of "don't share anything you don't want
to see published online for all to read"

Ancestry didn't take your research. Another person submitted it.
I would check to see who the submitter is (all submitter
emails and name are noted), then write to them if you want
and ask them to remove the work.

Just a little note of clarification. All user-submitted
material on Ancestry is free. There is no charge to view
the material. What you are charged for is the OneWorldTree
search engine capabilities. But you can search through
AncestryWorldTree (AWT) for free, and see the same
database. The database is free. AWT search engines are
free. OWT search engines cost money. But they search the
same database.
