I know there were Fischers in Erie Co. NY as my 2nd gr grandfather
married a Magdalena Fischer in Oct 1835 in Buffalo. Two of the
brides sisters, also Fischers, married the same time. They married
in St. Louis Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo and there are records
still available for these early days.

Why don't you seek out a professional genealogist in Erie Co. and see
if they can find the information you need. I know of two who did
research for me a no. of years ago and they were great, but I'm sorry
to say both of them are now deceased. I'm sure there are others.
One searched the church records and gave me names of my family living
in Erie Co., the year they came to the U.S., names and birthdates of
children, etc. The other researcher went to the Erie Co. Court House
and found my ancestor's citzenship records.

I doubt if any of this information is available on the internet and
your best bet would be to hire someone to do the research. They are
usually quite reasonable in their charges and can more easily find
the information. Check genealogical publications such as
GENEALOGICAL HELPER or others for advertisements or referrals from
others who've had professional help. The Western New York Genealogy
Society has a vast collection housed in the Buffalo library. There's
a good collection of city directories in the library dating from
about 1820's-1830's. Check this website:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyerie/buffalo/buffalo.htm
You might want to consider joining the Western New York Genealogy
Society for a year or two as they have publications and information
that can be of help.
