Fred Mechill McLean ND Does anyone have these names in their family histories? Fred Mechill came from Russia in 1916, he was b. 1893. His surname was not spelled this way at that time, and nobody in the families seem to have any idea of how it was spelled when he was born, nor if it was different when he emigrated. Without that spelling I have not been able to find him in the Ellis Island records or any other records. It is my understanding that he used this spelling when he applied for naturalization and that is how his death record is spelled. He ended up in McLean County, ND where he met and married Annie Sloboden. I know little else about this couple, so any information that you can share will be hugely appreciated. Thanks, Jeanine
