Good Morning Rooters, A fellow searcher was able to find that my ggrandfa. was born in Ziper Russia...I have been unsuccessful in finding any info re. this town/city...my relatives tell me both of my ggrandparents hailed from Riga Latvia...Due to my lack of historical knowledge re. changes in borders/provinces/military takeovers, etc. I'm at a loss. I know that US census info can be contradictory and interpretive from my few months of research...anyone have any suggestions how to discern the birthplace of my ggrandparents?
