Subject: [ROOTS-L] What Is The Meaning Of The Word, 'Englelirecht'?

Does anyone know the meaning of the word, 'Englelirecht'? Is this a German word? I do not know anyone who speaks the German language and I haven't found a forum where this sort of query can be posted. I would like to know the meaning of the word.

I am seeking information about an ancestor who was born in Germany and died in North Carolina in 1841. I found an old handwritten record which seems to indicate that he was buried in a family burial ground although he was a member of the Lutheran church. The word, Englelirecht' was written beside my ancestor's name. Can anyone translate this word to English for me? Thanks.
S. Plummer
