Subject: [ROOTS-L] McCormick - Canada to USA

Good morning Wendy,
Your note did not indicate where Edwin R. McCormick lived in American when
he and wife died. That would be very critical to locating information about
his death since USA does not have a death index nationwide in 1920.
You should get the Canadian border crossing manifest to learn where he was
destined at the time of the crossing.
Those records are on microfilm in the Family History Library in Salt Lake
City, UT and can be accessed by a private researcher.
The manifest card will tell where they left in Canada and where they were
bound in America.
If you want a person to copy one of these for you, I can give you the name
of a good researcher who can do it for a small fee.
