Subject: [ROOTS-L] Hugh Andrew Dougal

I'm looking for the birth place of HUGH ANDREW DOUGAL in Northern Ireland. He was born  1848. In his obit it said he was from Belfast. However, later on, one census  said he came from Gaitole??? or Gailoa??. It was hard to figure out the handwriting. 
   
  If possible I would appreciate the name of the ship he came to America. Immigration date unknown . He married Jane McLiech in Hoboken, N. J. & came West working on the railroad, finally settling in Washington, Iowa.
