By 1850 and until his death in 1902, he lived in Morgan County, Indiana. But I don't know where he was in 1840, and would much appreciate it if someone with access to an 1840 census index would find him for me. That might give me some ideas for searches to find his arrival and marriage in the US. I have access to the 1840 census images thru Heritage Quest, just not an index. Any help appreciated.
