The other one is my grandfather and I cannot pinpoint the date. I am thinking the one of my dad is 1910 or 1911 time frame. Still trying to come up with a date on grandfather Evans. Does anyone know the time frame that pictures were taken, by a studio, and put on a metal disk? Oh, my grandfather was born on July 4, 1882 in Little River, Kansas. I had never seen a picture on a metal disk until I saw both of these pictures. I have also taken both of these pictures to a studio and they were unable to tell me any time frame, perhaps he was just not knowledgeable. I tried to look at the clothes that my grandfather was wearing, but he had to be late teen age years or maybe even mid 20's. He was wearing a brimmed hat and jacket w/ vest and shirt appears to have a seperate scarf like tie at the neck. A chain on vest, which could be a pocket watch. His hand or thumb under the jacket collar. My mother never wrote on pictures or dated them. Yes, I have had lots of fun trying to date all of her pictures. Gee, I sure wish I had ask lots of questions to grandparents and even parents many, many yrs ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Judy Evans-Helton
