Subject: [ROOTS-L] RE: RED ROCK MINE, PLUMAS COUNTY, ca

ANSWER TO BELOW:

Margaret,
Go to GNIS (see URL and hyperlink below) and ask for Red Rock in California.
Make it easy on yourself and under "Feature Class" find the word Mine.

There are two, one in Lassen County and one in Plumas County. It will give
you the longitude and latitude and you can also bring up a map (hope you're
better at those than I am). From that information you can get a good Geological
or Regular Map of the area and hopefully it will be on it and show if there
are roads to it.

With the longitude and latitude you can get a handheld GPS and find the
exact spot. Truthfully if I were going up there I would contact some local people
and see if they could direct me to the place.
Hope this helps, Gretchen
