Subject: [ROOTS-L] New information

Morning,

I have some new info re. fam members. If anyone could provide some assistance re. any further data on these folks, I'd greatly appreciate it...

My great grandparents, Israel and Rose Goldstein, were members of the Brith Sholom temple, Joseph Friedenwald Lodge in Baltimore MD during the early 20th century. I believe the organization began circa 1911. I have contacted the Jewish Museum of MD via email, with no resopnse as of yet. I found a record of a photo in their collections data base of a banquet celebrating the order's 30th anniversary dated 1/26/1941.

  Also,
Morris and Dora Goldstein in charge of Israel's and Rose's marriage in Baltimore most likely around 1911, but I have no further info...
Morris and Dora had a daughter, Florence Goldstein who married a Sam Tossman. They had a son, Herbert Tossman...all in Baltimore MD. So, Herbert, if my calculations are correct (I have no birthdates), should have been born in 1940s/1950s. No further info...

  And,
Michael Goldstein, another brother of Israel's, married Lizzie. They settled in Philadelphia PA. They had 2 sons, Paul and Sidney Goldstein. Paul had 2 daughters, Arlene and Jodi Goldstein, and Sidney had a son, Freddie Goldstein, all in Philly. No further info...

  Plus,
Fannie Goldstein, Israel's sister, married Louis Silverman (Baltimore MD). Fannie and Louis had a daughter, Dorothy. Dorothy, then married Nathan Engel. Dorothy and Nathan had a daughter, Peggy. She married a Frankel. Her husband owned Frankel Cadillac Company in Baltimore MD. They may be residing in Florida currently. No further info...

  In addition,
Israel, Morris, Michael, and Fannie had another "unknown" brother who went to South Africa to delve into the diamond trade...

My goal remains to find any record of Israel's, Morris's, Michael's, and Fannie's parents...my great great grandparents. It is possible they were killed in Riga Latvia...none of my living relatives (to whom I know of) know anything about my gggrandparents...

Any and all assistance will be most welcomed...thank you in advance...Erica
