Jacob, was from PA and may have moved to Ohio when Asbury was just a child. Based on Asbery's date of birth, Jacob was likely born by or before 1800. Our family never knew the mother of Asbery (Jacob's wife) who may have died young. Of particular interest, there was a Frederick Swarts who lived close to Asbery, both in Perry Co., OH ca. 1820-30, then moving about 1840 to Muskingum Co.,Ohio (Falls Twp--the exact spot Asbery married Sarah Elder in 1842). Frederick (b. 1760-1770)and Asbery were likely related, and I suspect Jacob was related to Frederick. Anyone know of a Frederick or Jacob or Asbery Swarts/Swartz/Schwartz in PA who left the area?
