These begin with the names Calvin Hosford and Lucy Carpenter, married 1823. Calvin Hosford was born in 1791 in Thetford, Vermont; the Hosford family was one of the original families to settle in Thetford, and more information can be fund on this beautiful website: Thetford History. He married Lucy Carpenter, who appears in the 24th generation in the history that traces back to William the Carpenter, of Melun, France. Laid-in at these pages is a lock of hair, and a teaching certificate for Piermont N.H. School, for Miss L. In addition to this being a nice early Woodstock, Vermont printing, the Family Records pages are well filled in, with many entries in all categories: birth, marriages, and deaths. The central figures of the family records are Joel Hosford and Alice Kendrick who were married in Lyme, N.H. in 1824. However, both births and deaths extend backward and forward, from 1755-1905, and include Marriages of: John K. Hosford and Sarah W. Niles John H. Hosford and Louisa P.Winn George W.
