Colleen and all:

You know, I don't think there is a "perfect" answer to this problem, especially when it is a specific
request. I do appreciate those who send a reply to the list, saying "I'm doing this for so and so."

However, I am guilty of quickly looking something up and just sending it (info from a census,
particularly) to the person. I know others may be doing the same thing, but I get in a hurry, especially
when I am obviously one of the first to see the e-mail, as I've been "keeping up" during the day.

However, when I first get to the e-mail after being off for awhile, I do check "below" to see if anyone
has answered the question.

How about this, everyone!

(a) Before you reply, check and see if someone else has. If no one has, and you are going to:

(b) Send a quick note to the list, saying you are responding to "Sam" privately!

Maybe that will streamline our list?

Pat
