In reply to the letter in digest v06 #34. As a catholic I had to be baptized 
in a Catholic church. As of 1962 that has changed. Now if you wish to join 
the Catholic church you don't have to be re-baptized as long as were of 
another christian faith. However, a person does have to go through the Rite 
of Christian Initation of Adults and be received into the Catholic Church 
usually on Easter Saturday.

If you are already a Catholic and in the state of grace and have received 
your First Communion and celebrated Reconciliation within the past 
year(Easter duty) you can receive Communion.
