Subject: [ROOTS-L] Re: ROOTS-L Digest V06 #32...Locating cemetery of gparents- ... Ireland to MA ...

Bill,

<<<< Tim died circa 1912 and Kate circa 1944. Were buried in a Catholic
Cemetery (where they lived) in the Boston, MA.>>>>

I don't know about Boston, maybe they have something similar. In St.
Louis, Missouri, the Archdiocese has a searchable web site of Catholic
Cemeteries in the area. All that is needed is a surname to do a search.
Of course, the more that is known, the more likely one is to find their
relative. The site is updated regularly, so that recent burials are also
listed. I'm not sure how soon they are listed. You are given the
Interment #, name of cemetery, first name, last name, gender, burial
date, age, cemetery #, section, row, and lot. Maps for the Cemeteries are
also available.

Just don't make the mistake I did, when recently looking for my
grandparents information, I was surprised to see my grandfather's name,
but not my grandmother's. I've been to the grave and I know they are
buried side by side. when I clicked on the link for the whole lot, I saw
that the Cemetery records list her by the surname of her third husband.
They don't go by the name on the stone! -BTW -grandpa was her first
husband.

Dian
