A child born here in 1765 was named Johannes or John THRON/THRONE/THRAME/THRAN. On the 1809 Patent of Land in Germany Township, now called Union Township, Adams Co., PA it states that the patentee was John THRAME of York County [PA]. This could be his place of birth or residency at the moment. In the deed for this property one can read his name as John H. Trone Esq. [maybe clerk was told to spell TRONE with an H. and instead put it as a middle initial?] In any event I would like to know about H. THROM/THROMB/THROME arriving here or any other of this surname who had a son Johannes/John born 10 April 1765---died April 8, 1847. Incidentally, a descendant of John THRON/THRONE/THRAME/THRAN 1765 has submitted a biographical piece to an Ohio County History book in which he stated that John was from Germany, yet of Scotch descent. Also looking for data on John's brother Michael THRONE whose wife was Margaret ________ born 23 May 1794, died 5 Feb. 1864 aged 68 yrs., 8 mos. + 12 days.
