And if anyone runs across PAYTON HARDY, please let me know. I've chased this fellow for 40+ years with no luck. Born abt 1845 in La or Ala...does not show up in any southern census until 1870 in Union Parish, La....then 1880 in Ouachita Parish, La...he said his father was born in Ala, mother in MS. Who were they?? There was a Payton Hardy who md. Frances Haggard in GA but he was born about 1785. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Have fun at my web site!!
