Subject: [ROOTS-L] Baptist Church

Sandra,
I did mechanical engineering and a lot of design build mecanical projects for the textile and process industry.
did a lot of work for Deering Milliken. I was in project engineer on the plant they built in Pine Mountain, Ga.
and on my way back home to Charlotte, N.C. I say a memorial sign that said The Oldest Baptist Chcrch in Ga, I took a picture of the sign and went up a little dirt road and took a picture of the church.I don't remember any names but I will look for those pictures and see if there was a name listed.

Funny about Troupe and Harris Cos. E.S Harris was one of the first settlers in Troupe Co. Ga.

Have you tried The Birmingham Library, Dept of Southern History and Literature. Too ther is a book about places and peole of Ga, Has a lot of data church happenings and history. See if I can find title. Will let you know about pictures too.
                                                                                               Bob
