Probably it will be Pharmacist or druggist. Trouble is if he died in 1844 the 
ONLY mention is likely to be a bare count in the census and there is NO 
census for Minnesota. It wasn't a state then. Do you belong to a Minnesota list? 
For this you need some specialized knowledge. <VBG> Do you know the County the 
town/village is in? If so try USGENWEB and Rootswebs county lists tons of good 
info there. Rootsweb is changing servers, as you may have seen, tomorrow 
Thursday. It is being done from 12 Midnight CST to 6AM CST you might have trouble 
then, but tonight <G> you should be fine.
