Since I helped prepare the English papers for our library shelves, this
caught my eye!

Once again, the importance of saying WHERE you are! Jeannie, I have no idea
if you are anywhere near Houston, Texas or not but we have some wonderful
material on several ENGLISH families from all over.

If you'd like to check it out, go to http://www.hpl.lib.tx.us/index.html and
click on Catalog. Enter the phrase The English Family .... and click on
Location and scroll down to Clayton Genealogical Library and hit enter. You
will find 18 specific listings ... click on each one of them to see the
geographical area and related families.

You can do the same for any library in your area that has an online catalog.
Even if you can't get to the book yourself, often the description on the
title will give you clues. And most libraries will have a list of
researchers available that you may hire to research the book or books for
you ... or you might try a member of RAOGK. Random Acts of Genealogical
Kindness --- volunteers that offer to do specific things at no charge other
than the expense of copies, etc. http://www.raogk.org/ Just remember not
to ask more than one person to do the same task and do not ask for too much
at one time .... RAOGK is a volunteer group, not there to do extensive
research.

Trevia Wooster Beverly
Houston, Texas.
