until March 1943.  Regular Army and Draftees were treated the  same every place I 
served, no separation as stated below. There  was no such thing as letters in 
our serial numbers.  Mine was  33562349.  Probably most ww2 vets remember 
theirs as you used it for many  thing at that time.  To get payed etc you had to 
give your serial  number.

Subject: draftees vs  enlisted men in WW 2

>From several memoirs I have read, I got the  impression that enlisted 
men and draftees were treated differently, at  least in World War 2.  
What did the differences consist of?   Different platoons? sleeping 
quarters? food? training? social events?  possibilities for promotion?

Can anybody enlighten  me?
