Definitely, pay up front. For the US Records subscritption, it'd cost
$24.95/month, or $249.40 per year. Paying up front the same subscription
would
cost $179. The World collection is a similar, if not bigger, difference

Yes, BUT <G> if monthly is the ONLY way you can do it, and one year it was
for me; it is still worth the cost.
You need to know what you need and if they have that. I chase cousins and
possible (yes possible *G* I am that desperate about some lines) thru the census
and any local records I can find.
To me the Chicago Voters Records were worth the price of admission, I found
my Welshborn 2Xggf there and the time they left Ohio (no wonder I couldn't find
them in 1880 *G*) I found when and where he was naturalized. But I only knew
to look there because I had found the 2Xggm without him next door to the
married daughter who I was tracking - just to find out, I didn't expect to find the
greatgrands.

I love it the longer your family has been here the more you will find in the
census, the later they emigrated the more you will find in the immigration db;
ENJOY <G>
Eliz
